Faithful Saints Recognition and Step Up Award – Central Community

The Central Missional Community of Coastal Carolina Presbytery has a long-standing tradition of honoring our Faithful Saints. A Faithful Saint is an adult member of a congregation within the Central Community who has made a significant, sustained contribution to the life of the church over many years and has served as a Christ-centered role model through the faithful sharing of their gifts and talents.
This year, the Steering Team continues to highlighting the importance of encouraging and affirming the next generation of leaders by continuing a second recognition: the Step-Up Award. This recognition is specifically intended for youth or young adults who have stepped forward into service in meaningful ways, demonstrating initiative, leadership potential, and a spirit of discipleship that blesses their congregation and inspires others.
Because these honors celebrate different stages of faithfulness and service, they are designed for two distinct age groups:
Each church is invited to submit one Faithful Saint nominee and one Step-Up nominee so that both enduring faithfulness and rising leadership may be celebrated.
Our Faithful Saints and Step-Up nominees will be honored at our Summer Central Community Gathering on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Panthersford Presbyterian Church in Red Springs, NC. At the gathering, we will have certificates and a small gift, along with a lunch to celebrate our honorees.
Please find the application and instructions for nominating one member of your church for each recognition. Our hope is that your Session and other key leaders will carefully consider and pray about your submissions. You will submit a paragraph introducing each of your nominees and a photograph of them (digital sent by email for best presentation on the screen).
