  • The IRS business travel rate effective July 1, 2011 is $0.555 per mile for business miles driven. 1/1/2011 - June 30, 2011 was $0.51 per mile 19 cents per mile driven for medical or moving purposes; 14 cents per mile driven in service of charitable organizations
  • The IRS business travel rate during 2010 was $0.50 per mile.
    The charitable rate remains at .14 cents per mile, but medical/moving reimbursement is 24 cents per mile.
  • COLA for 2010 is 0%. COLA for 2009 5.8%.  The Social Security Administration announces the Cost of Living Adjustment each year at www.ssa.gov. COLA for 2011 is 0%
  • Minimum Terms of Call for Pastors is set by action of the Presbytery upon recommendation of the Committee on Ministry.

    • The cost of Board of Pensions Medical Plan coverage will increase. The board of directors approved a combination of employer dues and member out-of-pocket cost increases for 2012 and 2013. The increases will be phased in over two years to give churches, employing organizations, and plan members adequate advance notice for budgeting purposes. The medical dues rate for 2012 increases to 20.25% from 19.5% to a total of 32.25% for total traditional membership dues, up from 31.5%.  The medical dues will increase to 21% in 2013.
    • Annual open enrollment for optional programs is scheduled for 2011. The Board will hold an annual open enrollment from October 1 to November 18, 2011, for Optional Dental Program coverage and Supplemental Death Benefits Program coverage.
