Current Activities

The COM is restructuring in 2010 to have sub-committees over seeing each of the 3 communities. (See A Map) These Community based COM groups are taking responsibility for the churches in their area in regard to:

1. Receiving and dismissing pastors / Examinations
2. Approving terms of call
3. Triennial visits to the churches
4. Responding to church needs and requests

West COM: (69 churches)

Central COM: (61 Churches)

East COM: (58 Churches)

Executive COM (all 188 churches):
Meets Monthly on the Second Thursday. The Executive Committee is retaining responsibility for:

1. Setting Minimum terms of call
2. Receiving pastors from other denominations into our membership
3. Training for Lay Pastors (but not their placement)

• Elder Ministries (Lay Pastor Training and Oversite): Jim Smith  is forming an new QEP/CLP class now. Please contact Mr.Smith for an application.
