The
Membership number used to calculate the total Per Capita due from
each church is the self reported membership as of December 31, 2006.
(Each church reports their membership in the annual Statistical
Report.) You can find your reported membership number at the
PCUSA
church locator website (find your church listing then click on
Congregational Statistics).

No Per Capita is
retained by the Presbytery but is forwarded on to the Office of the
General Assembly and to Synod. 100 % of the Per Capita must be paid
to
GA and Synod regardless of how much is received from the churches,
so
any
unpaid Per Capita will decrease the amount available for Presbytery
programming and mission support.

2007 Per Capita was $7.88 (5.79 for GA; $2.09 Synod)

supported by per capita funding at the General Assembly level is
detailed on the Web site’s “What per capital supports” page.
Our
Presbytery is funded by direct church giving, not per capita.
For 2008 the Presbytery
Committee that asks for support is asking that each church prayerfully
increase giving to Presbytery moving towards giving 10% of their operating budget to the mission and ministry of our
Presbytery. Detailed
Information about this has been mailed to churches. A stated fair
share per member amount is $58.53 to support the mission of Presbytery
of Coastal Carolina.
Together we are the
Presbytery of Coastal Carolina carrying out our mission and ministry
through 15 committees that use over 200 volunteers from our 6 regions.
